Dear G M I had your letter a few days ago. Glad to see you are keeping some better we are still in Eng but I don’t think we will be in thire comp very long now I have asked for a pass. I will be down to see you if I get it. I hope it wont be long or I get it. I had a letter from  --- yesterday she has been sick in bed again she says she has not heard from you for some time and she is anchhis to here from you and . I will stop now will write again hopping these will find you  -- I remain your Affect. -----

The 134th (48th Highlanders) Battalion, CEF was a unit in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the Great War. Based in Toronto, Ontario, the unit began recruiting in late 1915 in that city. After sailing to England in August 1916, the battalion was absorbed into the 12th Reserve Battalion on March 7, 1918. The 134th (48th Highlanders) Battalion, CEF had one Officer Commanding: Lieut-Col. A. A. Miller.
